1. Introduction

JobsHub (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your data when you use the JobsHub website, applications, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).

JobsHub operates under the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173) and its implementing rules and regulations. We are registered as a personal information controller with the National Privacy Commission (NPC) of the Philippines.

By using our Services, you consent to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Services.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information you give us directly, including:

  • Name, email address, and password
  • Professional information — skills, work history, portfolio, and bio
  • Profile photo and identification documents (for talent verification)
  • Payment and billing information (processed by Stripe; we do not store full card details)
  • Messages and communications with other users on the platform
  • Support requests and feedback you submit to us

Information Collected Automatically

When you access our Services, we may automatically collect:

  • Device and browser information (IP address, browser type, operating system)
  • Usage data (pages visited, time spent, clicks, and search queries)
  • Approximate location (country/region, derived from IP address)
  • Cookies and similar tracking technologies (see Section 9)
Identity documents: For talent verification, we may request a government-issued ID. These documents are stored in a private, access-restricted bucket and are never shared publicly or with employers.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

Provide the Services

Create and manage your account, match talent with employers, and facilitate job applications.

Process payments

Handle employer subscription billing and renewals through our payment processor, Stripe.

Improve the platform

Analyse usage patterns to improve features, performance, and the overall user experience.

Communicate with you

Send transactional emails (account activity, job alerts), service updates, and responses to support requests.

Ensure safety and trust

Detect fraud, prevent abuse, enforce our Terms of Service, and protect the platform community.

Legal compliance

Meet our obligations under applicable laws, including the Philippine Data Privacy Act.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Sharing Your Information

We only share your information in the following circumstances:

  • With other users — your public profile (name, bio, skills, portfolio) is visible to employers browsing the platform. Private information (email, phone, ID documents) is never shared with other users.
  • With service providers — trusted third parties that help us operate the platform, including Stripe (payments), Supabase (infrastructure), and Resend (email delivery). These providers are contractually bound to protect your data.
  • For legal compliance — when required by law, court order, or government authority, including the National Privacy Commission of the Philippines.
  • Business transfers — in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred to the successor entity under equivalent privacy protections.
We never sell your data. Your personal information is not sold, rented, or traded to advertisers or data brokers.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services. Specifically:

  • Active accounts: Data is retained for the full duration your account is in use.
  • Deleted accounts: Most personal data is removed within 30 days of account deletion. Certain data may be retained longer where required by law (e.g., transaction records).
  • Identity documents: Retained only as long as necessary for verification purposes, then securely deleted.
  • Communications: Messages between users are retained to support dispute resolution and may be reviewed by our team when investigating reports of misconduct.
